About Circonomy dMRV Offline
Circonomy is a sustainability company which helps smallholder farmers to manage their agricultural waste sustainably. In pursuit of this, Circonomy has developed a dMRV (digital monitoring, reporting and verification) System for reporting, monitoring and verification, so that carbon credits can be issued. The System is used by users to produce biochar from agricultural waste and record proof of their operations which includes geotagged and timestamped images and videos. This data is later verified by third-party agencies to issue carbon credits. The application encompasses a series of distinct processes:
Biomass Collection: Acceptance of biomass from various sources, including food processing units and farmers.
Biochar Production: Utilizing the collected biomass to produce biochar, employing the Kon-Tiki-type pyrolysis method.
To comply with CSI's standards, users are requested to enable location access on the application. Each image captured during the process should be geotagged, ensuring transparency and accountability in line with CSI's requirements. This commitment to geotagging reinforces Circonomy's dedication to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices in the biochar production and distribution process.
