EnChance is the first e-Learning platform for teachers of adult lower secondary education (ISCED 2) on Entrepreneurship-Based Learning (EBL)
Around 23 million adults in Europe left school before completing lower secondary education (Eurydice Report 2015 “Adult Education and Training in Europe“).
The project partners have been providing learning opportunities to this target group using Project-Based Learning (PBL) and entrepreneurship education. This combination is known as Entrepreneurship-Based Learning (EBL). In EBL, the Project-Based Learning (PBL) is transformed into a single project-based experiment where the project activities follow the primary steps that a real entrepreneur goes through. This new didactic technique aims to develop entrepreneurial skills together with the specific knowledge and skills relating to each subject.
EBL is very effective with this target group so we wanted to develop a whole curriculum of adult lower secondary education (ISCED 2) based on EBL.
To do so the first step was to train our teachers. However, there were no training opportunities available for teachers on how to develop and implement a whole curriculum of adult lower secondary education based on EBL. This is the reason why we decided to develop this, the first open and multilingual e-learning platform on Entrepreneurship-Based Learning (EBL) for teachers of adult lower secondary education (ISCED 2).
