EnChance is the premier e-learning platform for lower secondary adult (ISCED 2) teachers on Entrepreneurial Pedagogy (EP)
Around 23 million adults in Europe have left school before completing lower secondary education (Eurydice Report 2015 “Adult education and training in Europe”).
Project partners provided learning opportunities to this target group using project-based learning (PBA) and entrepreneurship education. This combination is known as Entrepreneurial Pedagogy (PE). With EP, the project pedagogy turns into a single project during which the proposed activities follow the main stages that an entrepreneur goes through when setting up his business. PE is a new didactic technique intended to develop entrepreneurial skills with specific knowledge related to many fields.
PE is very effective with this target group, so we wanted to develop a whole lower secondary education program for adults (ISCED 2) based on PE.
To do this, the first step was to train our teachers. However, there was no training available for teachers on how to design and implement a comprehensive lower secondary education program for adults based on PE. This is the reason why we decided to develop the first open and multilingual e-learning platform on entrepreneurial pedagogy (EP) for lower secondary adult teachers (ISCED 2).
