EnChance is the first e-Learning platform on Entrepreneurship Based Learning (ABE) for teachers of the first cycle of Adult Secondary Education (ISCED 2)
Around 23 million adults in Europe dropped out of school before completing compulsory secondary education (Eurydice Report 2015 "Adult education and training in Europe").
The EnChance project partners have extensive experience providing training opportunities to this group through project-based learning (PBL) and business education. This combination is known as Entrepreneurship Based Learning (ABE). In the ABE, the ABP is transformed into a single project in which all the activities are aimed at carrying out the first steps that an entrepreneur must follow to start a business project. This new teaching technique aims to develop the entrepreneurial skills of students together with the knowledge and specific skills of each competence.
The ABE has proven to be very effective with the adult group, so the objective was to develop a complete program for the first cycle of adult secondary education (ISCED 2) following this methodology.
For this, the first step was to train the teachers, however, we were unable to find training opportunities for teachers on how to develop and implement a complete ABE-based curriculum for the first cycle of Adult Secondary Education (ISCED 2).
For this reason, we decided to develop this e-Learning platform on Entrepreneurship Based Learning (ABE) for teachers of the first cycle of Adult Secondary Education (ISCED 2).
