Open Banking, or open financial system, is the possibility for customers of financial products and services to allow the sharing of their information between different institutions authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) and the movement of their bank accounts from different platforms and not only through the bank's application or website, in a safe, agile and convenient way. It already exists in other countries and is starting to be implemented in Brazil now in 2021.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF OPEN BANKING?
✅ More competition: with access to user data, participating institutions, especially banks, will be able to offer products and services to their competitors' customers, with benefits for the consumer, who will be able to obtain lower rates and more advantageous conditions.
