As a professional educator, VERSANT is garbage!
I have taught engineering for 32 years. I can tell you that many Pearson products… Particularly VERSANT, our borderline garbage with regard to their testing methodology as well as ability to collect meaningful data. Case in point, this was being used as a way to test second language learners skills in their new language. Almost every question that was asked through the VERSANT program was extremely high-end where one would have to be practicing your new language every single day probably for 10 years. They expected you to be able to listen to a story verbally told with no written text in the new language which again whenever you teach something you teach it visually such as by showing words… Auditorial by having sound files that go with it… And if possible you should have them doing something with touch such as typing on the keyboard or writing something the instructions that Pearson uses are ridiculous case in point, they show you on the screen during the test written statements and they say oh repeat the statements and then they’ll have a statement they’ll actually read that statement that’s on the screen and then they have underneath it what your reply should be which is a written statement and a verbal statement but during the entire test there are no written statements to assist you as a person who may only be a beginner. As I said, VERSANT by Pearson is garbage.
