ClearCaptions is available in the United States and its territories only. FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. IP Captioned Telephone Service may use a live operator. The operator generates captions of what the other party to the call says. These captions are then sent to your phone. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund. No costs are passed along to individuals who qualify for the service.

How can I start back getting these calls back on the phone instead though this app I rather receive calls on the clear caption phone provided to me
Should have done more research
Worthless nonsense even if it’s free
There are multiple FCC authorized providers of free captioning services. I chose this one originally because it was the least intrusive to my privacy. I should have done more research. Their setup and password recovery systems are entirely call based (which is odd for a company dedicated to ensure people who can’t hear have access to phones). They voicemail setup is entirely audio, as opposed to the system that Apple and presumably Google have been using on their phone apps for decades now. The app has an option for password recovery, but it doesn’t work. As stated previously that all has to be done over the phone. As a user, I knew more about the call forwarding process than tech support. Finally, they couldn’t understand or resolve why calls suddenly stopped coming through to me. I was willing to work with them right up until the moment I discovered they were “stealing” my voicemail messages. I had that happen to me before…I WON’T let it happen again! Even free this software if not worth it!

Thank you for developing the app. This is not meant to be a negative, but rather to let the app developer know of an issue. It was working wonderfully until an iPhone update. I decided to delete and reinstall the app but did not remember password. If you tap on forgot password and enter your email address it crashes. Hopefully that is something they can overcome in the next update.

After my stroke, I was able to read & speak normally but I was unable to understand what people said on the phone, TV & Radio because of a receptive language aphasia disability. ClearCaptions allows me to call people and receive calls because I can read the transcription of the conversation. Life saving device. I highly Recommend Clear Captions to people that cannot understand conversations.

Rings to vm
Clear captions phone rings strait to voicemail. or it rings to my cell phone. uninstalled the app. now it just goes strait to voicmail. missed call dot. just aggravated and annoyed at this point.
