About Strecam
You will enjoy a clean, frame-free and lag-free camera interface. Press to focus, press and hold three seconds to turn the flash or off (only with the rear camera), double tap to change between cameras or use gestures to zoom.
It is recommended to put the device in not disturb mode and always mute option.
Instructions for OBS:
1.Connect your device using the lightning cable to your Mac.
2.Open Strecam on your device and OBS on your Mac
3.Press the + button on sources and then on Video Capture Device
4.Put a name
5.Select your iPhone or iPad on the device drop-down.
Done!
Quicktime Instructions:
1.Connect your device using the lightning cable to your Mac.
2.Open Strecam on your device and Quicktime on your Mac
3.Go to file and click on new video recording
4. Click on the arrow next to the record button and select your iPhone or iPad from the drop-down.

Exactly what I needed
I was looking to use QT to capture video using my iphone cam while saving directly to my computer. QT does this by screen capturing your phone’s screen while using a camera on your phone. Unfortunately the camera app that comes on your iPhone has two issues. 1, QT will not flip to landscape mode for the iPhone camera app. And 2, QT is doing a screen capture, so all the buttons and settings from the camera app end up on your captured video instead of just what your camera’s video would capture. This app solves those two issues as best as I can tell. Will update this review if I find issues. Btw, there is a watermark in the free version that you can get rid of by buying for a couple bucks. No big deal. If you like the way it works free then the purchase is an easy choice.
