About DaVita Secure Messaging
Why use secure messaging?
• Eliminate phone tag and message for faster response
• Tag messages by patient to make it easy to find messages later
• Keep everyone on the same page with group messaging
• Coordinate care with teammates across facilities (without special access requests)
• Streamline communication across teams; for example, between IKC and DKC teammates regarding mutual patients or ICHD and Home TMs when a patient is transitioning modalities
Hear from Teammates
• “It saves so much time to be able to send a secure message and not to be making multiple phone calls” - Registered Dietician
• “[Secure messaging] is a streamlined (and HIPAA compliant) way to communicate with physicians and teammates in non-emergent situations. I highly recommend it.” – Clinical Coordinator
• There should be more use from TM and physicians. [It] makes for more efficient communication. – Facility Administrator

Overstimulated RN
Unlike cureatr, you can leave the conversation when the shift ends. Can’t do that with DSM! So logging out of app is the next viable option, right? WRONG! Logged out of app but still getting notifications. After clicking on DSM icon, it prompts me to log back in. How are notifications getting through when you’re logged out?! Had to go into Apple settings and turn off notifications for this app.
