An example of a gardener's calendar for the spring:
For the vegetable garden:
April 1-10 & ndash; sow green crops for seedlings for planting in open ground.
From the second decade of the month, sow cucumber seeds for seedlings for greenhouses under a film.
From April 15 & ndash; sow cucumber seeds for seedlings for open ground (in the regions of southern Russia).
From April 10 & ndash; to produce vernalization (the effect of low positive temperatures on the seed) of potatoes.
From April 20 & ndash; sow seeds of squash, pumpkin, zucchini on seedlings.
For a flower garden:
Continue sowing annuals for seedlings.
Dive seedlings sown in February and March.
Feed the seedlings with nutrient solutions on the windowsill and in special boxes.
Prepare corms, bulbs for planting: treat with fungicides, germinate at a temperature of 20C.
Open clematis.
Within a month, free the roses from the covering material, cut off the shoots.
Loosen perennials, feed with organic fertilizers.
Tidy up the flower beds with early flowering ones and add a solution of nitrogen fertilizer to them before flowering.
