Surprisingly useful
I’m always skeptical when it comes to these video apps. I’ve tried many and still haven’t found one that fits most my needs yet. I like this one because it’s intuitive and simple to operate. When recording gigs, I normally use the iQ7 plus a Moment 58mm 2x zoom lens attached to my iPhone 11 Pro Max. However, the native camera app has a problem when you zoom in past 1.9x, the screen goes black because of the lens. With this app, that is no longer a problem. Better still, the magnification is now even higher than 2x, I feel like it’s 2.5x, but I can’t be sure. This alone almost makes me prefer this app over the iPhone native app. However, this app does not make use of the +/- volume buttons for shutter control, which is a nice feature that I use a lot when recording since I typically hold the phone in just one hand. Thus one star was deducted. Also, like almost all videocam apps on the market today, this app does not have a Pause function. I need this feature a lot when filming; it helps cut down on editing. This means I’ll still have to rely on Filmic Pro for that. It would be so great if this app could be enhanced with: + Pause/Resume recording + Volume buttons to Start/Stop and Pause/Resume + Take still photos (both in standby mode and while recording video)
