About आले लागवड #Agrownet™

Ginger planting should be completed in April-May. Mahim, Rio-de-Janeiro, Calicut etc. varieties should be selected for cultivation. It takes 18 to 20 quintals of seed per hectare for cultivation. Bene should weigh 25 to 45 grams, eyes should be swollen.
Since ginger is a tuber crop, the soil needs to be well drained. The tubers of this crop grow to a depth of one foot in the ground, so land with a depth of at least one foot should be selected. Ground level should be between 6.5 to 7.0. Wheat should not be planted in limestone soils. This is because the crop has a yellowish tinge.
- When selecting land for ginger cultivation, land with tuber crop (e.g. turmeric, potato, yam etc.) should not be selected, as there is a risk of increased incidence of tuber.
- Preferably dicotyledonous crops are considered best for this crop.
