Okra is an excellent fruit and vegetable crop. Okra fruit is rich in calcium and iodine and other vitamins.
Weather-
Okra is a crop grown in hot and humid climates. 20 to 40 degrees Celsius. Seed germination and proper growth and flowering of plants is not possible. Temperature below 10 degree Celsius affects germination. Temperate and abundant sunlight is useful.

🌳 Land: -
Okra crop is nourished from the topsoil, so moderate to heavy black to loamy soils are suitable, well drained soil is good, okra should be avoided in saline and limestone soils. And should be planted in soils with less than 0.20 salinity.
🌳 Varieties :-( Varieties)
Ankur 40, Pusa Sawani, Mahiko 10, Parbhani Kranti, Varsha, Arka Anamika, Selection 2-2, Phule Utkarsha are the improved varieties suitable for cultivation.
* Sprout 40: - Straight growing variety. Short distance between shoots Fruits are green. Vector yield 8-10 tons.
* Mahiko 10: - More popular variety. Fruits dark green. Vector yield 10-12 tons.
* Rainfall: - More popular variety. Fruits are 5-7 cm long.
* Pusa Sawani: - I.A. Fruits developed by RI 10-15 cm tall on green soft tree with thorny love stalk, reddish yellow flowers and yellow spots on each petal, initially resistant to yellow mosaic virus but now succumbs to the virus. Vector 8-10 ton production.
* Parbhani Kranti: - Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University being developed. Fruits are 7-10 cm long, greener and stronger than Pusa Sawani. 14-16 ton in summer and 20 ton in kharif. Vector yield 7-8 tons.

Planting: -
Okra is sown during kharif and summer seasons. Seeds for kharif are sown in June-July and sowing for summer season is done between 15th January to 15th February. For rabi and summer sowing should be done at 45 by 15 or 60 by 20 cm spacing. Watering should be done at intervals of 5-8 days depending on the weather and weather conditions.
🌳 Intercropping: -
Weed the plants by weeding 2-3 times. In case of labor shortage, spray Basalin herbicide in 2-2.5 liters of 500 liters of water before sowing. When spraying herbicide, there should be sufficient moisture in the soil. Seedlings should be added at the time of fruiting.

Fertilizer Management: -
* Organic and Bacterial Fertilizers: - Manure / Compost 15-20 bullock carts / acre
Vermicompost 400-500 kg per acre
Planting 4 bags of neem powder
Bacterial Fertilizer: -
Apply in field - If disease is not treated, 3 kg of Anzatobacter and 4 kg of Phosphoculture per acre should be mixed with a bullock cart manure.

* Chemical fertilizers: -
At the time of sowing, 50-50-50 kg vector nitrogen, phosphorus and potash should be mixed in the soil and 50 kg of nitrogen should be given in the second week of the month after sowing.

Nutrient Deficiency: -
* Phosphorus deficiency:
Symptoms: Stunted growth of the plant and roots. Flowering occurs and fruits are not fed. The leaves of the tree turn green and purple.
Remedy: 00:52:34 1.5 kg / 200 liters of water
5:40:28 1 kg / 200 liters of water
Apply phosphorus fertilizer from the soil.
* Iron: -
Symptoms - Leaves and stalks appear yellow. Newly sprouted leaves turn yellow. Lack of chlorophyll is seen in the leaves.
Remedy - Spray - Ferrous Sulphate 5 g / liter
Apply ferrous sulphate (chelated) at 25 kg / ha in the soil.
